The White Blazer

I have been loving Primark lately.
I went out for cocktails with my boyfriend and some of my friends recently in Wantage. It wasn't a 'clubbing' night (far too old for that now I've hit 23) it was more of a casual drink that had the potential to lead to a dance when one too many cocktails had been had (this happened by the way, we danced until the early hours). I had been dying for an opportunity to wear this new knee length blazer that I bought from the Primark in Milton Keynes. It's a classic piece that I have added to my wardrobe for those nice occasions.

I decided to pair this blazer with a dress that slightly longer than the blazer itself. The black dress is loose fitting with two thin straps on my shoulders, it's plain and simple. The fabric is soft but not flimsy and it has a nice fit. My bargain sale purchase of £10 from the River Island sale. Sometimes I really enjoy wearing loose fitting dresses, because although I am slim, I am not skinny and toned so sometimes it's just nice not to think about your figure and how bloated you feel on a night out after finishing of that bottle off wine with your other half. Therefore this dress is a winner with me.

My shoes are from Clarks, they're the ideal strap heel for me because the heel is about 1inch tall. I'm 5"10 so I certainly do not need any extra height. I totally love Clarks despite it having the association with 'old people' and 'school shoes' - it has actually become fashionable. It is quite pricey but the shoes last. My Chanel bag isn't real, which makes me terribly sad. It was a glorious, well made charity shop find that I didn't allow out of my sight. I am also wearing a gold necklace which is a purchase from Primark awhile back, my Kate Spade mother of pearl watch with beige strap and a gold coloured bracelet from River Island that has an eternity knot in. Red nails in any outfit make me feel complete, it has almost become my statement nail colour because it's my go to colour constantly. Any shade, any brand.

What would you wear for a night out at a cocktail bar?
