Beauty Review: Are The Kyle Lip Kits Worth The Hype?

The Kylie Lip Kit is an oh so popular beauty trend right now. It's sending people crazy to the point that they are buying these products for almost triple the price on eBay, just to get their hands on them. Selling out within 5 minutes is a great thing for Kylie, not a great thing for all us beauty obsessives and our bank cards. I managed to get my hands on Dolce K and Mary Jo K and I was far too excited for them to arrive. I had high expectations for these lip products but frankly, I was disappointed.

These products, in my opinion, aren't worth the hype. They're drying, they show the cracks in your lips and the formula feels nothing but cheap. I decided to film an honest review of these products on my YouTube channel which you can watch here. A lot of fellow beauty bloggers are keen to jump on this bandwagon so I wanted to share my opinion because all I've seen is how great these products are and not how drying they are. There are always 2 sides to a product. You may be lucky and have the type of lips that this product works well with, I however do not. I think they're so bad to the point that I can't see how they could be considered a good lip product...

I hope I don't get hunted down by fellow beauty bloggers for saying that I don't think this product is at all worth the hype. So not to waste my money, I will wear them to film videos/take photos because after about 20 minutes of wearing this product, my lips are so dry that the product is literally cracking off my lips. Not a good look.

  1. I bought the Colour Pop version since I couldn't get my hands on the lip kit. I had the same experience as you. My lips are sometimes dry and it showed EVERYTHING. Looked very bad!

  5. This was very useful to read Hayley! I don't plan on buying these anytime soon simply because of the price, however it's good to know that they might not be worth the hype anyway! I'd still like to try them nonetheless just for peace of mind although realistically I have a feeling I won't be trying these out anytime soon xo

  6. I'm so surprised by this. Maybe the different colors work differently. I used Posie K today and it was really hydrating compared to any other liquid lip I have tried. It just goes to show how everything works different on everyone.
